How Does it Work?
You commit to a year’s membership minimum (ie 12 or 24 bottles in 1 year) paid in 2 instalments just before the wines are shipped.
Shipping of Collections
1. The Spring/Summer Collection is shipped April/May & the
Autumn/Winter one in September/October. We don't ship during the hottest months eg July-September in N. Hemisphere, to protect the wine.
Limited edition wines
2. As a Private Cellar member, you get exclusive access to our small-batch, limited-edition cuvées and new vintages ahead of everyone else and often nowhere else, unless you visit us in person.
Seasonal Suggestions
3. Each collection is curated personally by Sally for the season. You are welcome to adjust it if you'd like, and we will occasionally include wines from friends and neighbouring estates (a rosé for summer, for instance); if you'd rather stay with George alone, that's easy too.
Selection Adjustments
4. Three weeks before shipping, Sally will email you the planned selection so you can request changes, add more wine, or update shipping instructions. Additional costs may apply depending on the changes requested.
Members Only Area
5. You will receive sign-in access to the members’ area with details of your upcoming selection, target shipment dates , exclusive member info and any events or special offers.

Shipped via 2 deliveries: Autumn/Winter & Spring/Summer
The Weekender Selection 12 bottles a year: 6 bottles shipped twice a year. Just enough to make weekends a little more delicious, with wines to suit the season.
OR
The Entertainer Selection 24 bottles a year: 12 bottles shipped twice a year. More bottles, more variety, more occasions to share. Always some George on hand for when you're invited, or entertaining.

Members also get discounted rates on additional purchases.
Welcome Gift
All members receive a welcome gift on joining Private Cellar (season 2025 & 2026).
New members receive a copy of the new
Bordeaux Smart Traveller's Wine Guide by Georgie Hindle, the Decanter Magazine Bordeaux Correspondant.
Along with all your other goodies to share and enjoy!
In each subsequent shipment you will have your choice of free gift to keep or give away.
What does it cost?
There is no joining fee.
The Weekender or Entertainer selections are all fully inclusive of shipping costs, duties & all the member benefits listed above. Because of this, they do vary according to where you live.
All we ask is that you commit to a minimum of 1 year.

You pay before the wines ship in October & May by credit card or bank transfer.

The Gift that keeps on Giving
If you are looking for a gift, then why not offer a membership to Private Cellar? We will include a special gift message from you and if you want to send it at a time other than the normal scheduled shipments, we will do that (except during months when it is overly hot at the destination eg July and August in much of the N Hemisphere, plus September too in some US states).
In addition, if you want to have one of your membership shipments sent to someone as a lovely present instead of receiving it yourself, we can do that for you.
You fell in love with our Private Cellar exclusive limited edition? Want to receive more of it ? No problem, we can arrange that for you. These limited editions are only available to club members or those who come to the winery.
