Château George 7 is 100% merlot, made from 35+ year old vines from 3 parcels directly in front and to the side of the winery.

Château George 7 2019 has subtlety and elegance complementing the fresh, fleshy red and black fruit and beautiful oak flavours. Silky tannins and seamlessly integrated alcohol complete this wonderfully balanced wine that has layers of flavours to keep on giving.

Château George 7 2020 is now ready for drinking and how superb it is too! The 2020 vintage has fresh, ripe red fruit flavours - cherry, strawberry and raspberry as well as black fruits. This fruitiness is complemented by the oak flavours of cedar wood and hints of smoke and sweet spice.

Drink from now and enjoy for the next 15 years. The best drinking window is likely to be  2026 to 2031.

Château George 7 Blanc is made from 70% sauvignon blanc & 30% semillon.

The 2023 vintage was fermented solely in Burgundy barrels - some new and some 1 year old. The texture is rich and full, and the flavours of fresh peach and apple, white flowers along with a refreshing acidity make it perfect for aperitif and to accompany food.

2024 was a cool year which is reflected in the freshness of the Château George 7 Blanc 2024 vintage. Fermented half in Burgundy barrels and half in a concrete egg - new for 2024 - the wine has gentle citrus flavours with sage and a fresh acidity lift. A lovely loooong finish!

“A delicious wine in the 2020 vintage, juicy and ripe strawberry and raspberry fruit, immediately appealing with an edge of smoke and a kick of freshness, great Fronsac typicity.

Owner Sally Evans is turning this 3ha estate into a name to follow after just a few vintages.”

“A 100% Merlot that spent 18 months in 30% new oak. ….. this offers an elegant bouquet of spring blossoms with nuanced spiciness once it has opened up. The palate has finesse thanks to delicate extraction and lingering acidity. Nice depth on the finish. Charming.”

“White stone peach aromas, clean with elements of florality and tropical fruit on the nose too, very welcoming. Juicy and succulent, streamlined and straight, a lovely core of minerality keeps the wine centred with hints of juicy lemon, peach, and pear. Clean and precise, refreshing, and easy to drink. A touch steely but a dollop of sweetness gives lift and bounce”.

Waves of gentle citrus alongside bright fresh acidities, with sage and peach pit adding depth through the mid palate. This has grip and lift… There is plenty of potential for great white wines on the limestone soils of Fronsac (bottled as Bordeaux Blanc), and this is an enjoyable example. 50% aged in Burgundy barrels, with lees stirring, with the other half fermented in concrete egg, again on the lees”
